Then & Now -- A Nelly Madison Remix

This morning Nelly Madison Clothing Co loaded Soft Cotton Breeze into the Secret Closet. For those of you not hip to Nelly lingo, that's where they load surprise and usually super limited loads. It's the place where unicorns frolic and fairies sing Amazing Grace on repeat.  The place that makes my heart happy every time it loads.

Anywho, Soft Cotton Breeze Hannah dress is the cotton version of the fabric used in the Blue Sky Blossom Vivienne dress. That's a lot of words, here's a visual: Blue Sky on the left, Soft Cotton on the right.  The colors are the same, only different lighting in the pictures taken almost a year apart.

Ugh, this just tugs at my heart strings...Merce 10 months ago on the right. She loved Blue Sky Blossom and was wearing a sz 6 then. I think she was around 42# and 45", she had plenty of room in it.  The Hannah is a sz 5, and she is currently 48.5" and 50#, and is her #1 favorite summer Nelly style.  I say Nelly style because this girl loves a maxi most....if Nelly ever made a maxi she would be in HEAVEN. (no that's not a hint. 😂)

Obviously we had to try to recreate a few shots. We didn't have any Stone Foy's this year, but we did have what seems to be Joyfolie's updated Foy, the Fennah. They seem to be true to size for us. She's wearing a sz 1Y. And the best part? We got these for $20 as a mystery item during one of Joyfolie's $30 Thursday sales! They are currently on sale on the website for $54.99...I would happily buy them for $55, and full price ($60 for little girls, $64 for older girls). Merce didn't like the Foy's b/c the fringe would get inside the shoe and tickle her foot. She barely got through the shoot with the Foy's last year because of that, but the Fennah's didn't bother her at all!

These are my favorite pictures. She's so much bigger and taller and sassier now.  I pray that Nelly Madison uses this print again next year in another style....maybe a Marissa tunic! Or an Alexandra dress? Or bring back the Caralina! Really it doesn't matter, every dress they have done so far has been a hit with us. And we can hope if they do, Joyfolie has another adaptation of this shoe for us to use.
