America's Favorite Pasttime

We are a tournament baseball family.  Also a tournament soccer family, but that'll be a post another day I'm sure. But for baseball it's 9U....which means it's the first year of kid pitch.  Sooo nerve-wracking! And slow sometimes. Lots of walks, and foul balls. And screaming parents. 😳 But he loves it so we will keep on until he doesn't anymore. Tonight's hour warm-up before the game gave us the opportunity to sneak away to photograph this halter top from Maddy James Clothing that we have had for months and hadn't had the opportunity (weather) to wear yet! It's gorgeous.

We went pretty cliche with the socks and Chucks, but it suits her style....and her penchant for climbing poles.  Yes that's right. Climbing poles.  My 6 yr old loves to climb, and swing on, poles....and ropes. She won 1st place in the kindergarten rope climb at her school's field day last month. 😂 So at least all her climbing serves a purpose.

So the top, it's very well made. No quality issues at all! seams are tight, and sizing was spot-on. Really couldn't ask for anything more! The owner runs a FB BST page as well as the website www.maddyjamesclothing.com where you can order items she loads. Sneaks seem to happen on the FB page.   Most items are preorders; we received ours within the stated turnaround time. The back is pretty simple, with a loophole for the ties and easy to adjust for different sizes.

We paired with Nelly Madison Clothing Co. red bloomies, size 4. They are getting a little small, but the fit is generous so that helps.  She wore them for 5 hours and had a very faint mark on her legs from where the elastic was. She never complained about them being tight, and she would totally complain if there was anything at all to complain about. These red bloomies sold out almost immediately when originally loaded, but will there will be a re-load "soon" including sizes 5 and 6! Definitely something to watch for because they go with everything!

The socks....these came from a co-op. Some of you may remember it, but I'm not saying the name. They did a huge sock pre-order and then crashed and burned with claims being filed left and right.  I actually happened to get the socks I ordered. Like 12 pairs or more, but only half them were actually the size we ordered.  Luckily, this pair was the right size! They weren't the best quality at all, and really have no defined toe or heel, but look cute enough so they worked.

Overall, super happy with our Maddy James Clothing "Play Ball" top! It was only $38 + $3 to ship, and for the quality of the top, it was well worth it! <3 This isn't our first Maddy James piece, and it definitely will not be our last. Now here's some more pictures because you haven't seen a twirl pic yet. ;)
